This mistake is more common than you think and will put an end to your holiday before it even begins.
Murphy’s Law is A Thing Y’all
Most travellers tend to cut things rather close when they travel – the logic being that they do not want to spend more time than necessary waiting for their flight to take off. Or otherwise, they wish to spend that extra 10 minutes savouring the last moments of their holiday in their hotel room.
Enter Murphy’s Law.
Road conditions can be unpredictable. Security checks can be excruciatingly time-consuming. And random acts of God can put a damper on your travel plans. In the end, you’ll miss your flight and say goodbye to all the hard work you’ve done in planning this trip.
Instead, please just show up on time at the airport.
You won’t lose much more time (and money) than if you completely missed your flight. It is recommended that you arrive at the airport three to four hours before your flight if you are flying internationally. As for domestic, an hour prior to your flight would normally suffice.
