While not exactly a hidden affair, the Attic Bar’s discreet location makes it a fun joint to hunt down. More particularly, this establishment is situated near the always-bustling Petaling Street — and more specifically, above a hostel called Travel Hub Guesthouse.
The Attic Bar — Nondescript Bar Above A Hostel
The hidden rooftop bar may be accessed through a rather hidden glass door in the hostel with a red lantern inside. Make your way to the first floor where the hostel reception is. You’ll then have to head to the back of the reception area where a spiral staircase to the bar awaits.
But before you arrive at the pearly gates (or rather, the spiral staircase), the pathway to the Attic Bar is a sightseeing journey on its own. With DIY birdcages, light fixtures, and bare bricks thoughtfully decorated, you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported back to an old Chinatown street.
Furthermore, the rooftop scenery from the Attic Bar just sweetens the deal as you’ll be amazed by the stunning sunset views over the city.
As far as refreshments go, this bar offers what you’ve typically come to expect from a drinking establishment. But the Attic Bar has gone a step further to serve authentic and yummy Italian food like pizza, pasta, and more!
